Etoposide is used alone or in combination with other chemotherapies to treat testicular cancer that has not responded to other treatment and small cell lung cancer. Etoposide works by slowing cancer cell growth. HOW TO USE: This medication is given by injection into a vein as directed by your doctor, over 30-60 minutes or longer to avoid lowering of blood pressure, which occurs when etoposide is given too quickly. The dosage is based on your medical condition and response to therapy.If you are giving this medication to yourself at home, learn all preparation and usage instructions from your health care professional. Before using, check this product visually for particles or discoloration. If either is present, do not use the liquid.
